Ingredients

Scale

1 deep-dish pie crust
2 cups pecans, roughly chopped and toasted
3 large eggs, room temperature
1 cup light corn syrup
1 cup brown sugar, packed
4 tbsp butter, melted and cooled
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
0.5 tsp salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Press pie dough into a nine-inch pie dish, trim edges, crimp, and chill for 15 minutes.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs until well beaten.
Stir in the brown sugar, light corn syrup, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt until smooth.
Stir in the toasted, chopped pecans.
Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.
Bake for 60 minutes until the center is set but still slightly soft.
Remove from oven and allow to cool completely before slicing.

Notes

Ensure your eggs are at room temperature for better emulsification. Toasting the pecans beforehand significantly enhances the nutty flavor. Let the pie cool fully to room temperature to ensure the filling sets into a perfect, sliceable consistency.
