Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, halved lengthwise
4 tbsp Unsalted butter, divided
5 cloves Fresh garlic, minced finely
3 tbsp Fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup Low sodium chicken broth
1 tsp Dried Italian seasoning
1 tbsp Olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
Season both sides of the chicken generously with salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Heat the olive oil and two tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Place chicken in the pan and cook for 5 to 6 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove chicken from the pan and set aside on a warm plate.
Lower heat to medium and add the remaining two tablespoons of butter to the skillet.
Sauté the minced garlic for 60 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping the bottom of the pan to release flavor.
Return chicken to the pan to coat with the sauce and heat through before serving.

Notes

Ensure chicken is patted dry to guarantee a crisp sear.
Use high-quality fresh lemon juice for the best flavor balance.
If the sauce is too thin, let it simmer for an extra minute to reduce slightly.
